Wow! We've come full circle! 2007 was a whirl wind of high energy and excitement as I took five consecutive 2nd place victories! Starting with the California State Pro, moving forward to the Colorado Pro, the Tournament of Champions Pro, the Sacramento Pro and finally the Kentucky Pro!!!! Whew! Each 2nd placing had me dig in and push harder and drive more determined into the next show, gunning for that top spot!! There was not one second of downtime as I fine tuned my 'package' to bring me closer and closer to a title win! Alas, it was not to be in 2007. However, I went into my off season with a great appreciation for the consistency of my presentation, an acknowledgement of a truly amazing season overall and many new friends and memories. Oh, did I mention that I also achieved one of my biggest dreams? Qualifying to compete in the 2007 Figure Olympia and then qualifying again for the 2008 Figure Olympia!!! There are no words to describe the realization of a dream so long in the making!
So, here we are, one year later and as my off season pushes me into the new season of 2008, I shoot out of the gates determined to show that I have not been resting on my laurels. But, rather, I have been hard at work tweaking, fine tuning and giving attention to every little detail, so that I can yet again present my best to the sport!!
Anxiously greeting each new day, I find myself taking every aspect of my preparation to the next level. With the careful guidance of my trainer & nutritionist, Kim Oddo, my manager at FMG and the love and support of my husband, David, I push harder and dream bigger than I could have ever thought possible.
